What Has Been Happening?

I have been doing a lot of bits and pieces lately and have been too lazy to update the blog! Since I last posted I have had Mum, Dad and Meg up for a visit and picked my first carrot too! Here are the pics.... My first carrot! I'm impressed that it looks so carroty!

Carrots and red onions

Got to dry the onions for a week before storing
Sweet peas
My Potatoes have just started flowering so I am busy hilling - again.

Mystery Number One - what is it?

Mystery Number two - this is the tree that had those horrific smelling flowers on it.

Brussell Sprouts

Snap peas - Wes eats these as a snack

Grapes a growing
Pumpkins before watering

Ans after watering - what a difference

Amelia's skirts

Matching Scrunchies
I have been doing other stuff too, but some of the recipients of those labours read this so no can show!

On Again.

I have been very slack this last couple of weeks but I have been working fulltime and its hard to fit everything in. I hilled the potatoes this arvo - again! Took a full bag of mulch too. There are irises in the fairy garden and all the roses are blooming.

Birds have been feasting on some of my seedlings so that has sucked. I had planned to add piccs today but my camera is flat, so that will have to wait until tomorrow.

Rain Again

I am getting tired of the rain. I know its a good thing but it would be just lovely if we could have a week or two of nice weather before the next lot of rain. Water is just sitting on my lawn.

This is a pic of the carrots and silverbeet. The silverbeet have been giving and giving, they were the first thing planted and are still going. Amelia's flowers brighten the back corner of the yard.
This is where the brussell sprouts grow. Those little round things are brussell sprouts.

I finally found two cauliflowers in the garden, at first I thought they were cabbages that hadn't hearted!

This is the plot for my cucumbers.

My tomatoes that Mum bought me.

Hilled potatoes that after this rain will need to be done again.

My potted herb garden, well the start of it with mint, basil and chives.

I cut the first lot of broccoli today and am going to blanch it tonight - doesn't it look good?
