Gunnedah Christmas Trip

Dad's harvest; it just happened to be sitting on the table.

The birthday girl, with her present from Mum and Dad.

Oooo a zucchini patch kid!

Megan's harvest. I have to say I am a little suspicious of the asparagus. Can't put my finger on why though.....

Meeting of the minds.

Dad's vegetable garden.

Two best cousins.

My gorgeous table runner that Mum made me.

A little bit of this and that!

Today Mum and Dad went home, I asked them to stay for another four weeks but they didn't go for it! Lol! It was really nice to see them and makes me wish we lived a lot closer. By the way, I know you are going to tell me to take off your picture!

THIS IS WHERE THE PICTURE OF MUM AND DAD WAS BEFORE SHE TOLD ME TO TAKE IT OFF CAUSE IT WASNT FLATTERING ENOUGH!

Yesterday Mum showed me how to make soap and it was really really fun and a bit exciting! We made some purple soap with a blend of lavender, May chang and rose geranium. Looks great and smells lovely. Ive got it curing in the lounge room and bought some more ingredients to make more soap. Mum Left me some colours and showed me a bunch of websites, on one a lady had made this yummy looking chocolate cake all out of soap - it was really incredible.

Before they left we went garage saling this morning. The first one was really good and I got some jelly moulds to use in soap making, Mum bought me some craft magazines and Dad bought something for his beer making. The next couple were pretty ordinary but the one at St Vinnies was good with me scoring a bread maker and a 1960's picnic basket which is really cute.

When you look at this picnic case you just think Gidget and you even might start singing "we're all going on a summer holiday"!

We all need to Aspire to something!

This weekend we went to Gunnedah and Dubbo. While in Gunnedah at Mum and Dads I took some pictures of the garden. I would love this garden!!! If I had had more battery left on the camera I would have taken some of the fairy garden and the front garden too. I will next time!!!!

Here is the passionfruit vine, its absolutely loaded with them. I think I might have to give one a go!

Lemon tree, I brought some lemons home with me too.

Vegetable gardens. The frame is up for tomatoes come the summer. Dad's getting it all ready - Isn't he clever!

And this is Dad's green thumb!!! :)

Mum also gave me a stack of plants from her garden. I am planting them tomorrow afternoon as I had knitting group today and got home too late. Being a good Mum she also gave me the world's most gorgeous quilt she had made, curtains for my lounge room and onion bags for my Christmas hampers! I also got a jar of Dad's 3 Fruit marmalade which I will taste.

I spotted a spool holder while at Mum's and have told Dad I want one, so I am hopeful he will take the hint - ok not a hint :0)
